TradeNet Portal

Launched on 28th July, 1994, TradeNet, the first EDI network in Mauritius, allows traders, Customs brokers, shipping agents, and freight forwarders to submit trade documents like manifests, declarations, certificates of origin, import/export permits to various authorities. Commercial banks are also linked, enabling electronic payment of duties and taxes.

The benefits of TradeNet have been to greatly reduce trade declarations processing times, minimize travelling, and eliminate duplication of information capture by different agencies.

  • Import Permits and Clearance - Ministry of Environment

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    We are pleased to inform you that as from 19th January, 2023, the application for Import Permits and Clearances for the import of

    - Biodegradable single-use products
    - Exempt plastic bags and reusable plastic items

    to the Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change (MOE), can be made online through our TradeLink platform on https://tradenetmns.mu.

    The electronic applications will be free of charge until 18th Feb 2023, thereafter a standard fee of Rs100/application will be deducted from your prepaid account at MNS upon submission of the application.
